Trump just after the elections and multiple meetings, showing interest to live in his own residence after the work daily in the White House i.e. Trump Tower.
He also announced that he will only take $1 salary in a year. Sounding like “I am Donald Trump, It doesn’t matter I am the President of America”. How much American will agree on this decision? But we will be amazed if we go to White House one day in the hope of our President and we found that he is at his own paint house.
Although, there’s no law requiring the commander-in-chief to live at the White House, though as a practical matter it makes little sense for him to reside full-time elsewhere. According to the official White House web site, the only U.S. president who didn’t live there at all was George Washington, though he selected the site and approved its design. The White House was still unfinished, in fact, when the nation’s second president, John Adams, moved in during the final weeks of his administration in 1800.
Seems like the States politics is changing, there are soem decision going to be see that might be not expected. As an American who we see the White House, and how much security out there. Can Trump Tower be secured in that way? How come one suicide bomber just blast himself insider the tower?
We must respect the decision of our President, but as he announced that he will work 365 days without a leave, doesn’t make sense. The White House is the house of President and if the President is living in his house then how can he can take leave unless he visited out of the White House :). It will be like Work from Home.
But he is the first President who deny salary , but why he needs salary on other side he is well known business man, and television star. We can only hope that in coming future America will grow more under the presidentship of Trump.
But at present the President shows his interest to have one leg in the White House and other in his own well-maintained, gold plated paint house. So what really matters is his security.
The NYPD and the Secret Service are negotiating how to secure Trump Tower, the President-elect’s home and headquarters, with measures that could include shutting down Fifth Ave.
The two agencies are scheduled to meet Thursday to develop plans to keep troublemakers at bay, according to a police source, who said the Secret Service wants to keep traffic off the busy avenue whenever Trump is in town.
But top brass in the Police Department have argued that shutting down even a portion of one of the city’s major avenues would be a nightmare that “can’t happen.” The area around Trump Tower has been the epicenter of protests since Trump’s surprise election victory last week.
The building has been blocked by concrete barriers to keep away protesters and thwart potential car or truck bombs. The glass tower, which opened in 1983, was built before 9/11 and is not fitted to withstand a terror attack.
The building includes retail, office and residential space.
The Federal Aviation Administration has already declared a no-fly zone over the Midtown skyscraper until Trump is sworn in Jan. 21.
The urgency surrounding the security measures was ratcheted up after talk Trump may not spend all of his time at the White House. Trump as President hope not be a bad decision by the people of the United States.
