The first teaser of Wazir promises to be an intense drama with an undertone of violence to it.
The movie’s shooting started in Mumbai in 2014. Currently the movie is in post production phase. The teaser of the movie released on June 3rd, 2015.
The movie also has Prakash Ra Varun Gulu, Hazefa Ali in supporrting roles. The movie is written by Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The music is composed by Shantanu Moitra who got into fame with Sawariya.
The Cinematography is handled by Sanu Varghese and binod pradhan.

Wazir is one of the biggest multi-starrer which has Big B Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role. He will be seen on a wheel chair through out the film. Farhan Akhtar will be seen playing an important role. The movie also has John Abraham and Neil Nithin Mukesh in the lead roles.
Aditi Rao Hydari who got into fame with Murder 3 and Rock Star will be seen playing the female lead in the film. The teaser of the movie got an amazing response from the audience.
The idea of Wazir came to Vidhu Vinod Chopra after badminton player Syed Modi was shot dead on 28 July, 1988 in Lucknow. However, Chopra claims that this film is completely different from the incident.[When Chopra met his writer Abhijat Joshi in 1994, he told him about the idea of setting a thriller around two chess players.[ The title of the film had gone through several changes including Fifth Move, 64 Squares and Chess being some of them.Later, between 2000 to 2004, they both wrote it in english. It was supposed to be Chopra’s first Hollywood film, with Dustin Hoffman playing the protagonist. In 2005, their producer Robert Newmyer suddenly passed away.The script of Wazir took five years to complete. Then Chopra saw the black-and-white portions of Bejoy Nambiar’s David (2013), which he liked. Later Chopra recalls: “I called him (Bejoy), and I have an almirah (Cupboard) full of scripts, so I opened it and asked him ‘Which one? He picked this one. Then we worked for two more years on it.”
The working title of the film was Do, which was changed to Wazir in October 2014 The cinematography of Wazir is done by Sanu Varghese, who had previously worked with Nambiar in 2013’s David. The films story was tweaked constantly during its seven-month editing period.[ This is the first film edited by Chopra after his directorial venture Parinda (1989).[Joshi, who is also first time editor of this film, believed that “a film is rewritten on the editing table.” Visual effects were used to hide Bachchan’s leg, and to make him look disabled. He weared black socks with marks on them to enhance CGI in it.The wheelchair on which he sits throughout the film was chosen among 40 to 50 wheelchairs.
While Farhan Akhtar has once again donned the tough look in Wazir, he plays an ATS office. The teaser has Amitabh Bachchan’s dialogues in the background and gives an impressive impact to the gripping trailer. The teaser of Wazir was attached to Aamir Khan’s latest release PK, which is also produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
Aditi Rao Hydari plays a pivotal character in the film. Wazir was initially named Do, but a after a change of title the film was renamed as Wazir.
As per the news in Indian media- John Abraham will be seen as surprise element whereas, Neil Nitin Mukesh will be seen in negative role. John Abraham was not seen in silver screen for long and the news of his performance has generated curiosity among the audience.
The first teaser of the film has been already launched and soon the second teaser will be released. Aditi Rao Hydari will be seen in prominent role. The teaser has already gone viral in youtube.
