Raazi, directed by Meghna Gulzar, who last helmed the critically-acclaimed Talvar, is produced by Vineet Jain, Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the film production banners of Junglee Pictures and Dharma Productions.
An adaptation of Harinder Sikka’s novel Calling Sehmat, which is about a Kashmiri spy married to a Pakistani man during the Indo-Pak war of 1971, Raazi releases on May 11.
It features Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles.
Alia Bhatt
Born into the Bhatt family, she is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. After making her acting debut as a child artist in the 1999 thriller Sangharsh, Bhatt played her first leading role in Karan Johar’s teen drama Student of the Year (2012). She established herself in Bollywood by starring as the female lead in several commercially successful films.
Vicky Kaushal
Vicky Kaushal is an Indian film actor known for the award-winning film Masaan.he aspired to become an actor, he got involved with theatre. He joined an acting workshop under Kishore Namit Kapoor. He went on to do minor roles in films like Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and Bombay Velvet besides a short film, Geek Out.
